the old ProDesktop from PTC shows some well-thought-out features that could assimilated for MoI. ;)

For example the trim tool in construction modus (lines, curves, ...). If the user draw a circle and a line and move the mouse over lines&curves, than the trim tool makes, that splitted parts are highlighted and can be deleted by clicking on it. It's not necessary to select cutter and cutted object.
