Yup, except for tangent snapping turned off, but that should not have anything to do with this.

Yup, that part does not seem to be the problem.


Can you describe in a bit more detail how you are drawing the curve again? I cannot repeat the problem over here when drawing in the side view. If you pick any points in the 3D view stuff like that could happen but when that setting is turned on, points picked in the 2D views are supposed to generate 2D flat curves.
