I was thinking going this method, but I was thinking try using sphere for parts of the head, like start with the nose, shape that out first then the mouth then you would boolean union all the parts together and fillet, I should be able to have a go soon, I'll see if I've got the time and I'll join in.

Oh yeh, I don't really think it's a competition, it's more of a Challenge Exercise.
