Hi Steve, yeah the big difference is that NURBS modeling uses booleans as a more fundamental building block.

It's a big difference in mindset because booleans tend to be something to be avoided as much as possible in polygon modeling instead... In NURBS it becomes more of the first thing to try instead of the last thing to try.
