UI customization?

Hi aa13x, I'm glad that you are liking MoI!

It is possible to customize the UI if you want to edit the .htm files that make up the UI definition. That does take some familiarity with HTML and editing files in a text editor like notepad though. There was a discussion thread not too long ago about this here: http://moi3d.com/forum/messages.php?webtag=MOI&msg=1173.1 .

I decided not to spend a lot of time working on drag/drop type editing of the UI at least not yet, since that is a pretty big chunk of work. Instead I focused my effort on making a good default layout.

I did try to make it as minimalistic as I could - for example MoI actually has more vertical screen space even than Silo since I removed all the stuff that normally goes at the top of the screen like the title and menu bar.

The major thing taking up screen real estate in MoI is the side pane, but that provides a good place for all the different options and numeric inputs that can be used with each command.

You may be interested in the "Full screen" plugin, which allows you to set up a keystroke to hide all the UI and leave just the 3D viewports - you can grab that one here: http://kyticka.webzdarma.cz/3d/moi/#FullScreen

Hope this helps!
