I think, it would be a nice example of MoI user-friendly-commands if offset (and also project) command allowed for automatically "rebuilding" curve or surface after running itself. It means, no exactly the same number of points for original curve and new one, like mentioned Frederic, but only minimum points within given rebuild/fit tolerance which could be set up in Moi.ini file - default value would be zero, i.e. no rebuild.
