I've just started using the v4 trial version. My end goal is to 'flow' a grid of lines onto a lofted surface made with a few curves to create a warped grid effect.

How can I join a rectangle (square) and multiple lines together to make one object? I can see the four points of the square and end points of the lines, but the join command doesn't seem to have any effect.

I'm sure this is very basic. Any help is appreciated.
