Yes, the edit frame is drawn using some images so if you edit the image that should work.

There are 4 images, inside the ui subfolder in the main install folder:

GripFrameCorner.png
GripFrameCorner_highlighted.png
GripRotation.png
GripRotation_highlighted.png
