Just a brief update to say that I have decided to go with Estlcam in the first round. Looks very versatile and accessible and also at a very reasonable price. And, as it is, I actually have an Arduino Uno already so getting started hopefully is not that difficult. And so many tutorial videos on youtube ;-) Thanks again to Wimverbe for suggesting this ...
