Hi All,
I’ve been trying Zarkow’s sub’ D method for getting a smooth transition between connecting surfaces.
I got the idea that by using the nodeeditor and James Retopo macro that the work flow could be shortened.
I have tried James Retopo and it works.
So the basics are
Select surfaces set iso u v
Join surfaces
Run Sub D classic
Run Sub D 9
The issues I have come up against are
The iso u v can be any direction dependant on surface. So the only way round is to set them the same number or have individual widgets.
The macro can only handle one surface.
It would be good if all surfaces could be selected and the one macro could step thro them.
Joining all faces together.
There is no node for Sub D classic.
I know there is more to this than a general sub D surface and may need more manual input but I think it would shorten the work flow and add another option to modelling in Moi.
