I am about to buy MOI irrespective of the answer as it seems like a pocket rocket software, very reasonably priced and I would like to support the developer.

Q1- If I buy MOI now do I get automatic update to V4?

Q2- MOI is baby of one creator/developer, what happens if something happens to him? (hopefully he stay healthy to ripe old age of 200).
On one hand I hope he does not sell it to someone like Autodesk on the other hand all eggs in one basket....
