Hi Finema, for projective Flow mode the surface normals of the base surface need to all hit the target object. It can be ok if only a very small area misses but you've got too much that misses there.

But the base surface doesn't have to be a plane, it can be a curved surface something like this:



So that's something you could try. Projective mode also expects for the target to be smooth so you'd probably need to put a top cap on it and fillet the top edge if your base surface goes over that area, even if the actual object you are transforming will miss that area it still needs to be smooth if the base surface will hit it.

The other option I guess is non-projective flow.
