Hi Willy, definitely there are going to be some more tutorials made, including some simple ones like you describe. It won't be too much longer before I'll be able to focus on that, maybe a few more weeks.

If you're getting stuck at a certain spot, please post the .3dm model file (preferably zipped up) here as an attachment, and that will help me see what particular problem you might be running into so I could give you some specific advice.

The general approach would be like Pilou shows above - draw some curves and then do an extrusion to create a solid. You've got to make sure that the curves for your outline touch one another at their ends though to form a completely closed loop.

One way that may be easier to guarantee that all the pieces touch is to draw just one polyline as the outline and then use Construct / Fillet to round off some corners of the polyline - that is kind of an easy way to place arcs at the corners in between line segments and have everything stay touching.

But definitely if you've got a file that you're struggling with, please post it.
