If you purchased MoI, you can run the betas

Dont be fooled by "beta".... They work great, and just have the new features. The other thing, is MoI's installs are standalone to each other. The beta install will not affect your Purchased install.

I havnt launched V2 since the betas came out... The only downside is, you wont want to go back, after the Version is complete! (If you call that a downside).
