Spiderbot WIP MoI / ZBrush comparison

I'm learning ZBrush and following some excellent tutorials by Badking (http://www.badking.com.au/site/) on making a Spiderbot. What I thought would be really interesting is also modelling the Spiderbot in MoI. I haven't used MoI in a while and thought this would be an excellent opportunity to try out version 3 Beta.

This is the finished cannon that goes on top of a body that has spider legs. I'm now just waiting on the tutorial author to finish the next section so that I can carry on. The interesting thing is that most of the parts are easier to model in MoI than ZBrush as most of the shapes are fairly simple. The ZBrush tutorial however is outstanding and an excellent way to learn hard surface sculpting in ZBrush. I'll post updates if and when the ZBrush tutorials are put out. One thing that became apparent doing this model with lots of parts is MoI needs a group / hierarchy system (as does ZBrush).

Cheers
