Are you maybe referring to something like the ImportPointFile and SavePointFile scripts?

(EDIT: ok yes I see those are mentioned in the 2nd message in this thread)

If so I'm sorry but there is not currently any method for a script to add functions to the regular built in SaveAs, Import, and Export commands.

So there is not any way to do that right now.
