Hi Michael and everyone here,
I remember the moment when I opened and played the first Rhino beta, which was quite long time ago. Moi made another good impression on me and I really appreciate Michael’s talent and effort creating this nice program.
I downloaded it earlier but started to use it only three month ago, and I have some output that I want to show here. Each part is modeled in Moi and then rendered in Rhino.
This is a personal project. It took about 8 weeks. I spent lots of time for ideas. I did some sketching on paper and some researching for reference data and images and then a lot of thinking and then some more sketching again.
I didn’t go into too much detail but tried to keep a certain level of consistency.
For example, this isn’t a model in the real world but all mechanical parts should work properly and functionally in some sense. This idea took me a lot of time to research possible solutions and even to model. At first I set the time for it around the early steam engine era but it still isn’t clear to me the time you can see this type of flying machine.
I just decided to leave it to the viewer’s imagination!
I just followed my desired feelings and senses.
There was lots of feedback during modeling process because there was no fixed plan or drawings for each part; instead I depend more on sketches on paper until I declare to myself, “It’s enough”.
Anyhow, I did and here are some images of the flying machine that I dreamed of.
I really enjoyed Moi doing this project and thank you again, Michael.
PS. I will post some more ideas later
