Hi Mike,

I downloaded and installed the font you have in question to the font library on my PC and it appears to do caps.

Also, if you are extruding from curves on a curved surface, you will probably not get a closed solid volume. You could try a straight extrusion, then merge or subtract the curved surface or solid to create countoured text.
