Hi folks. I thought you all might like to see my latest project. This is the design for a 1 3/4" scale on 3 1/2" gauge live steam model flatcar. The model will be approx. 48" long and 15" wide (actual) when completed. The various castings on the original flatcar are drawn in Moi and will be used to create RP patterns for investment casting for the model.

The drawing has 216 solids at this point (and counting!). I had to increase the memory allocation for Moi from 2GB to 3GB since I'm running under Parallels on the Mac, but it has otherwise handled the model without any problems. Once again, the small footprint of Moi shows its true strength.

If I was doing this in SolidWorks, I think my machine would have exploded by now. LOL
