It should be obvious from GIS that I linked - a stand up air popper. The top portion of all that I see are similar. I'm having the basic issue of being unable to see how to solve the problem of modelling the "yellow" plastic portion of one of those, not match any particular design exactly.

I've tried sweeping a profile curve along the top, I've tried building a network curve, I've tried starting from something solid and boolean'ing my brains out, cutting it back to what I'm looking for.

My expectation is that I'm going about it all the wrong way, and someone knows exactly what I should do. So I came here :)
