I was looking for some input on a good companion with moi.

I have amapi pro. Looking at Rhino. Will be investing time at some point in learning a more "complicated" software for a full toolset.

Any recomendations? Should I learn amapi or trash it and purchase rhino?

I know there are personal preferences but there should also be some experienced input!
