One of these objects has a hexagon line just sitting on top - just to show it is a hex drive machine screw.

The other has a hexagon face - which is even better because I can apply a different color making the hex region stand out.

I made both of these but I have no idea how I created the version with the hexagon face.

How could I have done it? I would like to be able to do it again.
