Hi Franz,

From long visual observation only:

Each ten pointed star is surrounded by 8 stars with 5 points, plus 2 stars with 4 points.

So re-create this base pattern. MoI's Image command can load the picture, to aid re-creation.

There are a lot of parallel, narrow strips. Create them for one 10star pattern.
Star patterns can be used as boolean cookie cutters.

Then Tile this base pattern, for multiple 10stars, and refine.
