If the bottle starts life as say a solid cylinder, it could be faceted like cutting a gemstone.
The cutting tool(s) is a plane at specific angles, and each facet is (boolean or trim) cut as desired, and the tool rotated around desired z and x and y axi, for the next cut.

There can be symmetries, so once a basic set of faces is created, circular array, or mirroring, could be shortcuts, merging the faces, and abandoning the cylinder...
