The only one I know of is C3D but since that is from a Russian company it's probably not going to be feasible to use it for the time being at least. I was just about ready to spend some time doing a thorough investigation of it when the war started.

I've looked at it a few times, it's generally not at the same level as the commercial kernels.

Maybe in some cases. There will be a large amount of work involved in incorporating an additional kernel though.

I think that's about a n-sided patch surface filling mechanism which is a newer thing that's been developed in Open Cascade. So it could very well be in better shape than other things.
