Hull desing (Tjalk) - Tuto
Tjalk is a flat-bottom-multi-chine vessel.
She has no keel, only a large steel plate of 6 to 8 mm thick which permit stable landing on the mud.
There is only 5 curves (HULL Curves) each build using only 7 to 8 control points.
The bow (nose) is a fake one in respect to its original shape.
Up to now, the general rule for any hull is :
Hull curves are simple and very easy to reproduce.
Middle portion of each curve is a straight line.
The 6th curve at top is for gangway and inclined inward according the original Tjalk layout.
In case of construction, the steel plate between each line is curved only in one direction.
Resin-epoxy is used only for small size replicas.
Otherwise steel is the unique material beside iron (old).
Frame profiles are build by plans perpendicular to longitudinal axis (not shown).
They could be spaced every 50cm (below, only one is visible).
The MoI3D "Intersection", between Hull Curves and Plans will provide "Dots" corresponding to Frame corners.
The next step is pure construction plans of the hull.
