Hi morph3us, it sounds like you've got it sorted out?

Things in MoI do not work quite exactly the same as in a polygon mesh program.

MoI will not normally get in the situation you're describing here where a single "object" could be made up of disconnected islands that don't touch each other.

MoI will automatically separate objects into individual pieces that are separately selectable instead of making that type of result.

So your question is a little difficult to answer since it seems to be based on a situation that Moi already will avoid making.

It might be possible that you've run into some bug where the automatic separating isn't working for some specific situation, if so then it would be helpful to know more details about what you're running into so I can fix it up.
