Yes, it's a new setting in MoI version 4. In moi.ini look for the [3DM] section:

[3DM]
Version=

If you set that to Version=4 or Version=3 that should do it. One thing to note though is if you have any annotation objects like dimensions in your file it will generate a v5 3DM file instead of the default version set there.
